Burger 205kg Power Clean HD

This is my brother, Burger Lambrechts, having a go at his own unofficial South African power clean record, set in 1998. The current record is192.5kg (423lb); Here he is attempting 205kg (451lb).

No official power clean record exists in South Africa (only Olympic clean and jerk has a sanctioned record and that currently stands at 180kg or 396lb) so this unofficial lift is a national all-time record to the best of our knowledge. We have taken into consideration all the strongest lifters of the past including Gerrit Badenhorst, Eugene Nysschen, Ettiene Smit, Henk Booysen and so on.

Unfortunately that is the nature of unofficial records - you cannot claim them with absolute certainty because there is a very slight chance that you might miss somebody.
