@4downtime French troops represented 45% of the allies in WW1, USA didn't get involved in the war to "save" France, but because German submarines sunk their supply ship.

@sangyuni96 they surrendered after 2 wars that claimed more than 1 million 6 hundred thousand lives among the french troops, in comparison the us lost less than 400 000 soldiers in both world wars ...(less than during the civil war : 900 000). So yeah, we did surrender, but my ancestor put up a fight your ancestors would never have... If you look closely at WW1 battles omaha beach was a piece of cake
