http://bit.ly/9D1XIl The EcoSmart LED Downlight from Home Depot featuring Cree TrueWhite Technology is easy to install. Simply attach the existing socket to the EcoSmart LED Downlight, flip the clips into the ready position and slide the light into the housing. Rotate a quarter turn to lock into place.
@wiley0714 I'm not sure I get your first point.

@roundstone2020 You have to flip the clips out into the ready position to install it. Once installed, to remove it, just get under the rim of the light assemble and twist the fixture to the left. The clips should fold back onto themselves and the fixture will release from the can.

For the price and the factthey are retro fits, and dont come as a completed can and light assebly in one, i stand by my rating. Plus there new, and therefore unrealistic as far as long tern rating and developing problems.
The big box store is known for mediocre products.

@wiley0714 These are most certainly not crap! These are some of the best LED's lights I have ever used! I have replaced every one of my recessed light fixtures with these and do not regret it a bit! Even though they are expensive they are worth every penny! Go to Home Depots website and search EcoSmart LED and read the reviews! You can't buy a better a LED for your recessed lights! I have also bought there other LED bulbs and have not been disappointed yet!

How does the downlight fixture reduce air leaks commonly associate to earlier ceiling light can fixtures? Currently, I have older light can fixtures which are not sealed?
