Urban Apache was originally just a collective of people who breaked, rapped, dj, wrote and other hip hop enthusiasts from San Rafael mainly. No one considered themselves a "crew" despite rolling together to all the jams and always training together. Over the years, Urban Apache dominantly became just bboys who breaked together who became a crew before they even KNEW themselves they were a real crew; by this time, the crew expanded from San Rafael and into Vallejo and Petaluma. The MYC was a community center for San Rafael Youth. Urban Apache Crew has been coming over every Thursday ever since the MYC moved, some even before the MYC was created.
I personally, not being from San Rafael, found this place and grew as a bboy here after the people I breaked with stopped breaking. The memories of training here and becoming close friends with everyone over the last five years was irreplaceable. The MYC will be missed. This video is in dedication to my crew. I would have never have learned everything I know if not for them.
