Soul-searing romance, a deadly duel, glittering ballroom opulence and gorgeous music combine in our second opera season of 2009 - Tchaikovsky's magnificent Eugene Onegin.

Featuring a stellar cast including, in her debut with The NBR New Zealand Opera, star soprano Anna Leese as Tatyana alongside the UK's William Dazeley in the title role. Accompanied by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and the Vector Wellington Orchestra with the support of a 40+ strong chorus.

Just seen and heard Anna Leese at the Cologne Opera. She was great  - although the production was awful.
