@radbcc A law from 1998 says that all new cars must have airbags for both front seat passengers, so Land Rover stopped selling them after 1997. I'm not sure if one could be imported, but it would definitely have to be a model from before 1998. I'm not sure if they'd meet emissions either.

@DannyBoy20802 Is that why they are not avail in US? Is it possible to export an older diesel version from UK. Are there any EPA/customs hassles to import a Defender to the US? Thanks

What a fail! I could do that in my range rover classic 300tdi with some chunky all terrain tyres and a bit of a lift... A defender can do much much more! Land Rover best thing on the planet for off roading.

great car, but his last lines kinda bummed me. lol

a Discovery could do that, please, a defender can do more!

he's whining like a girl, ooh, ooh ohh my word :D

@petbedding01 Is that sarcasm? A Ford Transit is a tall awkward work van that doesn't go very fast. Either way, the gearing is totally designed for low end torque, not high end speed.

That was the most epic Land Rover commercial ever, and Land Rover didn't even have to make it.

I really wish they'd just put some airbags in the thing so I can get one here in the US. How hard could it be?
2 people don't like off-roading
