Classic Game Room reviews THE 3RD BIRTHDAY for PSP from Square Enix. This "spiritual" third installment in the Parasite Eve series has players taking control of Aya who takes control of soldiers by Overdiving into them and fighting giant monsters! While technically not part of the Parasite Eve series, fans of the series may dig this installment although, admittedly, the main protagonist is shallow and fairly uninteresting. The 3rd Birthday PSP gameplay is awesome and plays like a breeze with a single analog stick and the triggers. Upgrade weapons, Aya and your clothing as you play (and watch her clothes fall off) through the game and battle giant tentacle things and spawning monsters that explode when you kill them. This CGR review of The 3rd Birthday from Square Enix has Third Birthday gameplay on Sony PSP showing The 3rd Birthday game play in a video review of The 3rd Birthday.

  • Epic game review... now I want to buy this one... again... so any one want out there want to sell your copy to me?

  • How come you never repaired your clothes? =.=

  • @Mixaraah So you're looking for a critic not a reviewer.

Well, personally if I were to find some things bad in this--

"Aya"'s boring. :SPOILER: you're not really playing as Aya

Story gets really confusing unless you've played the other PE games, and still it's confusing till the end.

Some of the unlockables are rediculous

They turn "Aya" into a sex object MAJORLY

  • @Nobodyjbh14 Indeed. Mark is a legend.

  • *buys game on amazon*

  • OK, just finished testing the game, and my hunch was 100% accurate, this game is simply awesome. Probably the best shooter I tried on the PSP so far, even better then Resistance Retribution which is considered a pretty good shooter for the PSP and is one of the better games in my book too. 3rd B-day is made entirely like a move, graphics are great, music is awesome and the controls are very comfortable. The playability of this game is top notch, so as far as I go, I recommend it to all PSP fans.

  • Good review, thanks. You mentioned in a positive way some of the game elements which my friends criticized. In any case I trust my senses in those thing and my gut told me to get this game since it was released, which I finally did. Now it is time to go test it, so see you all later.

  • @Nobodyjbh14 his review are better then ign's too even though in my opinion since ign gets all their games for free they should have a say

  • You had nothing to criticize? Really? I haven't played this game but I can't trust this kind of review if you don't find anything bad about this game.
