Sammy is one lucky squirrel! I know it is best for little rehab squirrels to go back to the wild but when they can't they need to be kept like Sammy. So many people keep them in small cages without all the enrichment you have given Sammy. Five stars for the video, Sammy & YOU!

We rescued Sammy when he was 5 weeks ago after he fell out of a tree. We tried to release him back outside but he didn't want to go. This is very unusual for a squirrel, most will wild up, start biting and chew on everything. We never expected to have a squirrel decide our house was his home. Keeping a squirrel healthy with diet, exercise and special lighting is much more complicated than we could imagine. We do not recommend squirrels as pets. Sammy is one in a million.

Forgot to add that squirrels are illegal to have in most states.
