  • Thats when Jeep Used that GM V6 right? I think it sounds good, but I also think you should throw a 4.0 in it haha

  • Yeah it's the crappy 6 & have thought of several transplants but for a 25yr old xj that's mostly original I plan on keepin it that way. The worst this jeep will probably see is snow & mountains on occasion. Alot easier to get a 90's xj w/ a 4.0 and start from there!

  • thats the way to do it. i lifted mine, painted, put big tires, then the starter went out... so now im gonna make sure the engine is set first lol

  • I've had the truck 15 years, hopefully I'll get to it in the next 15, lol!

  • @vazzip I also really liked the 80s XJs but I think that the engine problems really weren't fixed until around 1990. There was a 4.0 in '87 but it had a closed cooling system which has been known to be problematic. I love the look of when Jeep made a Wagoneer XJ with the different front end and the 84 with the cool grille lol Yeah I say get any xj between years of 90 and 96... after that forget about it its all plastic. And I think your XJ looks amazing for 25, Hopefully mine ages like that.

  • There's 3" front&back now, but I'm gonna go higher once I get the engine 100%.

  • nice rig you gonna slap a lift on er?

  • Thank's Juiced Jetta but she needs a little more than that! The truck hadn't been started in a year and also has a blown head gasket. I'll get to it eventually.

  • you need a tiny valve adjustment.

    sounds badass!! nice
