Really very nice playing. Try and experiment with different characters and contrasts even more. Check out the Mravinsky performance with Leningrad online
about 30 seconds in, see how they change to almost sotto voce, and then come back more intense later...its really effective.

Very romantic. Brahms is complex and highly structured, but you make it sound fluid and very natural. You make it look easy! I love your playing.

Thanks! Your suggestion to play along with a recording made a huge difference. I recorded the excerpt from a CD and looped it in Windows Media Player. Then I wore headphones and performed along with the loop.
