I got up off the couch to see who it was. They knocked again. Nick got up and pulled me away from the door. "I'll check." He said, protectively. Just as he approached the door, we all heard a familiar voice, "Demiiiiiiiii... Open uup... I'm waitiiiiiiing..! You hear me... Missy?? You hear...me..? Dem...Demiiiii!" I rolled my eyes. He was drunk. Real drunk. Nick slowly opened the door, and Joe just collapsed in front of him. I got so mad. Sooo mad. I walked up to him and pulled the collar of his shirt up close to my face. OH. I. Was. Mad. "What the hell are you doing???!" I asked, furiously. He just smiled and smirked and put his forefinger on my nose. He squeezed it. I hit him on the arm. "Get up!" I said, pulling him to his feet. He leaned towards me, about to fall. Nick pulled him off, "You dumbass, what are you doing?? Where's Chelsea??" I heard heels fiercely walking up to my doorstep. Before I could see who it was, what looked like Joe's car keys came flying through my door and slammed on Joe's chest. He winced and rubbed it, "OW, babe, that hu- hu-huuurt..." He started falling again, and Nick grabbed him aggressively. Chelsea came storming in, tightly holding her clutch, "YOU! Are! The! WORST KIND! I HATE you, Joe!! Next time you take a girl out, it WON'T be me..!!!" And with that she stormed back out the door. "Glad to hear it, Stephanieeee.." Joe said, his head seemed like it was spinning. "Her name's Chelsea you dork..!" Selena stated. I hit him hard. What an idiot. I wonder what he could have done THIS time... Nick dragged him into the kitchen. He made him take some pills... God, Joe makes me so angry!! Why in the world does he show up at my door...? DRUNK?? With his date for God-knows-what reason super mad.
I heard my dad coming downstairs. Crap. Screw it now. This is just what I need. I told Selena to quickly go take cover for me. I ran into the kitchen and told Nick to hide Joe somewhere. Then I ran back out to where Sel was. "Dad! You're up?" I said, casually. He looked confused, "Yeah, and why are you?" "Um, we just came home late... Had to work extra hours at Romeo's." I lied, finishing it off with a smile. Dad shook his head, "I'm telling you, that Romeo"s place is gonna give you two girls a hard time..." Selena smiled, "Don't worry Mr. Lovato, we enjoy working there." He chuckled, "Thatta girl! "Well goodnight you two..." "Goodnight!" We both said. My dad walked heavily back upstairs, and just as the door to my parents room shut, in came Nick with Joe, almost dangling on him. "Heyy Lovato...How about me and you go upstaiiirss..? Have a little dr-dri-drink..??..You know... Live a little..??" He fell flat on his face, right in front of my feet. I couldn't help but laugh. He was such a goof. "Get your ass up, Joe...And get out of my house already." Nick grabbed him again, "Don't worry ladies, I got this idiot under control..." Selena and I smiled at Nick. Now there's a gentleman. With a good sense of humor too. But then again: Joe. He's just, well.. Joe. As Nick headed out, he took Selena with one arm and wrapped it around her waist. The other arm was holding on to the idiot. He gave her a cute kiss on the lips and said goodnight to us. Then Joe started, "Goodnight Lovatooo! I'll remember you.. Forevvverrrr... Mwahh!" He blew kisses at me, his eyelids about to drop from the dizziness. I laughed and shook my head as I closed the door behind them. Selena and I both sighed.
