A surprise that could only happen at Comic-Con. Director Ridley Scott was live via satellite atop an Icelandic waterfall to talk to Hall H about his new film Prometheus.

Well I used to think Vickers was human and the whole thing was set up as a sort of in-joke and nod to what he did with Bladerunner. But because of what Ridley says here, I now believe Vickers is a robot, think about it why would he even say "there maybe two", he just would not lie over something like that unless there was a reason for it.

if there is any justice in the 'verse there will BE no sequel. sequel to WHAT? this thing is NULL. in b runner, ridley includes unicorn dream, together with unicorn origami to hint deckard is a replicant. ridiculous. so many alternative explanations. he also abandons the topic of replicant #6 entirely, as if it had been no part of the script. in prom ridley succumbs entirely to this phenomenon of unplot, and the deadly dominance of lindelof. of COURSE charlize is a robot. rest of the c

This is all coming together now.. I have a feeling Vickers will return in the 2nd film & maybe Weyland in flashbacks, because of all the promotion Charlize & Guy Pearce have done alongside Fassbender & Noomi. There's got to be reason behind all of this or their stupid deaths will be in vein. Why would Ridley cast Guy to play an old man for only a few scenes and then die? It would be such a waste. So I hope Ridley has something big in store as he's intentionally left too much unanswered.

Thats the only question that I'm not sure about, she seemed like a human in some scenes but Ridley himself stated that there are 2 androids. Also in the first Alien Ash slept in a cryo chamber to hide the fact he was an android from the rest of the crew, so maybe Charlize was doing that too

so is charlize dead or is there a possibility she'll come back back in the 2nd film? I'm so confused, because she seemed like she was human or at least believed she was. Why was she sleeping like the others on the ship at the start of the film?

I saw it opening day, before I read your joke. It's a lot of movie - I'm sure it has plenty to offer on subsequent viewings. I must see it again at the theatre - despite what some people contend - there ARE some films that will never play as well as they do on the big screen. That said, the claustrophobic Alien sits just fine on TV.
