  • Hey, cool. So this video is from '86? I used to see this band years ago. I think I even have a cassette tape with a hand magic-markered cover. Didn't the band also have a female singer named Carlotta Christie?

  • Carlotta was the original singer. I first saw them with Carlotta fronting the band in 1983 when they opened up for Lords of the New Church. They were amazing!

  • Was that the show where the Lords played 4-songs, Dave bashed someone in the head with his bass and they left because some assholes were winging quarters at the band? Stiv had welts on his chest from being hit. I was working that show.

  • No it was the tour before. I was at the show you are talking about. Talk about mayhem! After a long delay Stiv came out and told the crowd how much they sucked and ended the show. It was a drag!

  • The Living Room @ the CIC complex off promenade street.

  • Who ever filmed this video did a great job of portraying the grittiness of The inner city and the words of the song match it to perfection. Another rockin song from Rash of Stabbings

  • Played a gig with these guys once in Lynn, Ma. and they did a cover of "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" that I still think about. They put on such a great show that night. Great friggin band.

  • Before Waterfire, before the Prov Place Mall, before Buddy went to jail, there were dank places called the Living Room (with glass bubble window) and the Rocket where you could hear the best sounds EVER to come out of Providence-- from these guys, Rash of Stabbings.

  • Yes, listen to "Carmella". As I understood it, she met David Essex -"Rock On" singer- up and moved to England and bore his children. I have some recordings with her in the band.

  • Ahhhhhh.......they sure do. Providence REALLY blows now. At least it had true grit back then. Miss my city of broken glass and empty buildings burning down.
