Theme from BBC documentary Wild China

I am playing this tune by ear from the BBC documentary that was shown recently with some improvisation of my own.

I'm not sure if it evens sounds right? as the background music is often interrupted by narration. However, I believe it's close enough. If you happen to recognise the tune, I would appreciate it you would let me know its name, or better yet do you where I can find the original track?
