@Ringophiliac I totally agree with you. They're missing the point. This is a conversation between to people who speak the language of modern jazz really well. If you have listened to and studied this music long enough to follow and appreciate the way they interact, you understand what a magical treat this performance is.

Yes, that B (and other notes in that register) seem to be some of the 1st notes to go out of tune on many pianos. Often it's near the 'break" in the harp, between the mid treble to the upper treble.

Thumbs up @Ringofiliac.

I WANT A FAZIOLI SO BAD! :(

It's funny that everybody is comparing them like it's a contest, and not one person has mentioned how well they play together. Some beautiful moments.

@awesomewelles90 is jealous that he never will have 1/10th the musical skill and genius of Brad Mehldau

@christianitzchakylar ask kenny...he played the solo...not me

@nonsense120 then what was the story about?

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
While you might prefer Mehldau's soloing (which is indeed very innovative), consider that Kenny Barron simply hears music differently and has alternate approach to soloing. Neither is really better or worse. Both are masters in their own right.
