Like, a true Green Day fan has to like all their songs? I personally didn't buy 21st Century Breakdown. Why? I didn't like it. I like Green Day's older stuff (along with American Idiot). There are a few older albums that didn't really interest me, but yes, Green day was much more raw in their earlier days. Just 'cause you're a fan of a band, does that mean you have to like everything by them? No, you're all just being close minded.

Art should be judged separately from the artist. And it wasn't a personal attack, it was a commentary about Green Day

Yes... good artists change. But green day trying to become a politically minded group did not work. The sound may change, but the spirit can't. It feels fake.

So you bringing up their change, (which is something ALL good artists do) isn't really that relevant. Yes its in regards to Green Day, but my statement was more of thought that can carried to other music and what not.

And.. you kinda just sound like a dick, I was just replying to someone and you turned it toward antoher direction comepletely.

@CourageKeeper who gives a fuck what a true fan would do? Seriously, since American Idiot came out, Green Day hasn't been "good". Back in the 90s, they knew what they were and they did it well; they were a badass pop punk band. They weren't politically minded like Bad Religion or even the Clash. When they released American Idiot, it was like they were trying to do something they shouldnt
