95% of kids who show up for wheelchairs have birth defects. Mostly Cerebral Palsy (brain-damage happens during childbirth), then Spina Bifida, then family intermarriage, etc. War injuries account for the rest - most from kids injured by hidden roadside bombs and suicide bombers targeting innocent people in marketplaces. That said, I have helped kids who have injuries resulting from actions during MNF-I assaults against insurgents.
