The 1st amendment DOES NOT cover legal bribery. Money does not equal speech in the constitution. It was a very bad decision by a bad court in the 70's.

There are worse options than McCain, but there are better ones too. I wish it would come down to Obama vs. Paul. I wouldn't even vote on that one.

George Bush proved that anyone can run for president, and the presidential wannabe's are coming out of the woodwork like termites on a warm day. The analogy is rather fitting, too.

I have not seen anyone except one 2006 nominee that I find suitable for a High government position. They all have convoluted skeletons in their closets- and for the last 60 years presidents have lied over and over again.

"so-called first amendment rights..." that's not saying that clean govt's more important than free speech. He's saying that this limitation on the ability of the extremely wealthy to influence elections unduly is more than worth the liberating effects it will have on your country's government.

Exactly. Bribes are not free speech. Money in government is limiting the debate on big issues, limiting free speech because the politicians stay silent on the issues the bribe money requires them to. America suffers on the issues where money buys the votes.
