Obviously THE most amazing version of this belongs to Keith and I've stolen some of his things. To me, the Tokyo 96 album is one of my all time favorite trio recordings. Unfortunately for me, the playalong speeds up quite a bit and I found it very difficult to play over - nevertheless, here it is (2nd take) - with mistakes. This version is in G (same as Keith) but its often played in Eb which I think I prefer - for some reason I found it hard to string long lines together in this key. Maybe I'll post an Eb version....or maybe I should practice more in G...I'm now rambling - hope you enjoy it.
Your information on this had me cracking up "Maybe I'll post an Eb version....or maybe I should practice more in G...I'm now rambling"

Great economy of movement over the keys. Nice rendition of a great standard!

Wayne, you genius - what on earth did you do at 3:47? It's so lovely!

Yeah, I started playing It Could Happen in G after listening to Keith's version. The tough part is the C#m7b5 F#7b9 on the fourth measure!

Really nice phrasing and swinging feel throughout. Line at 3:47 was burnin'! Great playing Wayne and in G! (I agree Eb feels better to me too).
