25-3/8" wingspan, 38-3/4" long, 265 sq. in. wing area, 22-3/4 oz. flying weight. Highly detailed all molded EPS foam construction. Completely pre-painted with a beautiful camouflage paint scheme. Waterslide decals of the French Armee de L'air are pre-applied. The Ready-to-Fly (RTF) version comes complete with everything you need including a 72 MHz transmitter, 6-channel receiver, ducted fan unit, brushless motor, 25 Amp brushless speed controller, 1300 mAh 18C Lipo battery pack and Lipo balance charger. The Almost-Ready-to-Fly (ARF) version comes with everything listed above except the transmitter and 6-channel receiver. All electronics come pre-installed, no soldering required. The assembly takes about an hour; glue the wings, tail and nose to the fuselage with UHU Por (GR959). Glue the fixed main landing gear to the wings and screw the steerable nose wheel in position. After installing 8-AA batteries (not included) in the transmitter and charging the flight batteries, you are ready to fly. Canopy is held in place with pre-installed magnets and removes easily to provide access to the flight batteries. Controls are: Elevons (Aileron and Elevator mixed), Rudder/Nose Wheel steering, and Throttle.

  • Hi Hobby Lobby, My rafale did fly so fast like on your video. Is this because i used a 2200mah Battery 20c Lipo? I also changed my EC to 40amps.

Please help me with this situation.

  • The Rafale in our video was flown on the stock power system. Adding a larger battery and controller would make the plane much heavier and would decrease performance. Lighter is better in this case.

  • Any indication on cg placing ? I haven't managed to balance mine yet, still too far forwards I think...

  • With 265 sq in of area , you will need quite a lot of power to fly at speed.

EDF is power hungry stuffs and early casualty is usually the lipo. Use 25C or higher LIPO for better performance.

  • does the canard move?

  • The Rafale is a good EDF. My first RC and I loved every minute of it. On full throttle I average about 5 mintues flight time but by cutting back to about 50% I average 10 or more depending on wind conditions and manuvering.

You CAN remove the gears and belly land it, however I recommend only belly landing on grass or another soft material. Loops are fairly easy just make sure you add a slight dive before the climb, keep throttle on full, and full back on the stick. I want another. Happy flying!

  • I just maiden flew my Rafale today. 3.5 minutes maximum endurance unless loitering around. Couldn't loop as not enough power to get over the top! Fun to fly but short on endurance. No Cof G indicators so it was a total guess to get airborne. CofG too far forward initially and eventually bounced into the air! Want more air time though. At least 5 good minutes!

  • is this made from foam?

  • I just bought this jet.
