  • my parents buy the family's first car 2012 subaru forester 2.5 xt turbo, last month!

  • i own a 2003 forester and the engine is sick but the transmission may as well have been from the time when michael jackson was black

  • @greg3507 me too dude : )

  • Subaru: my anti-drug

  • @NickHimSeIf I can't really compare it to other cars in it's class because I haven't driven them, but chances are I'd take a Forester over something like a Rav4 any day. I mean, if you have the money to spring for something like a Land Rover Discovery or a Toyota FJ Cruiser, I would definitely consider those as options also.

  • @NickHimSeIf It's not slow, but I wouldn't call it fast. You'll maybe do 120 flat out if you want to really torture it and the 0-60 isn't brilliant either, something like ten seconds? Although when you consider that it's basically a big beefy Impreza that's shaped like a box powered by only a 4cyl (at least the older ones anyway), it's not bad. The highway driving is very nice; it is insanely comfortable and the gas mileage is okay (I tend to average around 25).

  • @SovietMordor Thanks Bro that is good to know. Well she is going to be going from the VW gti with DSG to this. I think its more practical for us but I dont think she going to like it haha. Is it slow? Can you compare to any other cars out there right now? How is the high way driving?

  • @NickHimSeIf My 2001 Forester has the automatic and as far as autos go, it's really not bad. I was hesitant, as I am usually a manual driver from when I owned older E36 BMW's, but I can honestly say it's a good automatic system. Boring? Totally, like all automatics. But sturdy and the gear changes are nice and smooth.

  • I like the look of the old Foresters more.
