  • @jonbz17 Tom Cruise is a fucking hack. He hasn't deserved anything for his god-awful acting in his entire life.

  • The video glitches in Rush's performance package made it look like a Max Headroom skit

  • Much deserved for Rush, love Tom but Rush deserved it more.

  • @gokcal Haven't seen Tom Cruise in Born on the Fourth of July i see. Or Magnolia, Risky Business, Collateral, and Eyes Wide Shut. Among others.

  • @Gilch30 Agreed. In fact, I would say that Cruise's performance may have been the strongest of that year (not saying Rush and the others are bad) -- see Louis Morgan's Best Actor Oscar Blog

  • @gokcal Show that you know nothing about acting what so ever. Cruise in Risky Business, Rainman, Born on the Fourth Of July, A Few Good Men, Jerry Maguire, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia, and Collatoral are brilliant performances. I would like to see you do better

  • @jonbz17 no he was not! Have you actually seen Shine?

  • @gokcal i wouldn't say that him being very good actor is a factm he dosen't act with versatility like the giants of the likes of Depp, Thompson, Streep, Pacino and Rush but he's good. No question about that

  • Geoffry truly deserved this award. He made playing the piano a bloodsport in Shine.

  • Ralph Fiennes was unlucky any other year he would have won this hands down.

  • @AstriaICOW Uh I thought they still show clips when the actors are announced? They did it at this years oscars (but not the past 2 years -- and '10 oscars where only supporting nom. had clips). But either way, the Oscars seem worse (especially after '05)
