  • love how he does a wheelie on the way up to the ramp! How cool is that?

  • this was'nt just a toy ! this was THE toy !

  • Maybe its not right for a kid to expect to get any toy he wants... but the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle was not "any" toy... dammit. If any kid in the mid-seventies wanted a Stunt Cycle & didn't get one, I don't feel sorry for him. They should have recognized that its the Evel Stunt Cycle & if after making it known that its highly desired, still, no voluntary sponsors step forward, then a 6 yr old kid must take matters into his own hands. Its the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle... dammit

  • Thus, I began to search... low & behold, just as I had suspected, some pedestrian dropped a 20 dollar bill in the gutter. Thus I embarked on the approx 3/4 - 1 mile walk to "Toy City" that was not too far for a 6 yr old who knew of the grave necessitation to possess an Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle... dammit

  • I lifted the Evel box to place upon the eye-level counter & then the $20 also. I got enough change to stop at the liquor store on the way home & invested it in a brown bag full of candy... it remains as one of the greatest days of my life

  • The Stunt Cycle couldn't remain inconspicuously clandestine forever... thus, one day Mom asked from where had the money been acquired? "what money"? "the money for that toy"? "Oh, I found $20". "Where"? "In the gutter, where I always find it". "Gee thats funny, $20 happen to be missing from my purse". "Maybe you dropped them while crossing the street, like the person who's $20 I found"?

If one's childhood is in danger of passing without a Stunt Cycle... one must take matters into his own hands

  • Oh my god! I hope that guy on the bike was ok afterwards.
