Thank you for the ID! I didn't consider that it could be a peregrine falcon because the map I saw said that they don't live anywhere near here. But after further research I now see that there are some peregrine falcons living in Chicago. Very cool!

If you look closely you can see that the bird has 2 ID bands on its left leg.
