well i dont like a body lift. suspension all the way. The red truck with 38's has a 8 inch. My other 79 has 33's and a 4 inch lift. A 4 inch would be plenty for the 35's and look very nice. I have had the 38's on a 4 inch lift but if you are planning to play, you will beat the fenders off it.

My 38's were worn out bias ply and they rode good on the road and did awesome off road. A buddy of mine had a new set of 32's and it was unstoppable. Good tires, I would recommend them, but they are hard on a half ton front axle shaft.

thanks

how do u like those ground hawgs? you'd u recomend them
Hey man sweet rig! I'm in the process of building up my 77. Did you use 8 inch coils for your lift?

@kbrenner536 yes the front has 8 inch skyjacker coil springs and the rear has an extra leaf and blocks. The radius arm drop brackets are homemade.

alright thanks. i might get a 79 f150 4x4. do u have a lift on yours to fit those 38's? how much of a lift would i need to fit 35" groundhawgs?

@Southernpride005 i got an 8 inch lift and plenty room for the 38's. a 4 inch is plenty for your 35's. i got another 79 with a 4 inch that runs 33's it has plenty of fender room. i have had my 38's on it, but they would rub when steering while the truck was flexed.
