We went to Gerry's High Performance Dyno Tuning where we ran the BOSS 335 on the dyno. We also ran it that night at the drags and knotched up a respectable 12.9sec @ 113.9mph.

When we reported the power figure to the world the next day it inspired some vigorous discussion on the internet. We took up the challenge to retest it and head out with a few hours to spare before Ford wanted it back .

In this video we take it to Castle Hill Exhaust and test it on their dyno.

In the next video we take it back to Gerry's High Performance Dyno Tuning

  • Wankers! Dyno is calibrated to BULLS**Tmode!

  • @SouthSwans oh really? Dale from Castle Hill Exhaust challenged us to run the car on his dyno because he did not believe the 353rwkW figure. It made 328rwkW on Dale's dyno and that is about as genuine as you are going to get. The point we wanted to make is this: The official figure of 335kW at the flywheel is obviously less than what the BOSS 335 actually produces. The weight and mph figure at the drag strip indicates around 510hp, which is 380kW.

  • @SouthSwans What makes you think that the dyno Motor used is accurate? The CHE dyno could be 100% correct and the Motor magazines dyno could be way off.. Dynos aren't the best for a true indication of power, theyre for tuning tools and bragging rights. The true indication of power is a 12.9@114mph in a manual 2000kg on track car..

  • it made 328rwkw after tune... not in stock factor form....

  • love these cars, absolutely crazy acceleration!!

  • @jared9691 Exactly. They have their figures mixed I think. Or that first dyno run they did, they changed air temps or something. Because a stock 335 will not simple add an extra 150hp from fucking no where. dont get me wrong, love the V8's but people need to understand that when a car is released with a power figure, it's at the flywheel (engine) and not at the rear wheels. massive difference that some people just don't understand. in the end, its the 1/4 mile times that count, not dynos.

  • @brolyboi add the weight of a fat beer hungry driver and you're close to 2T.

  • @PitCrewEMG Ummmmmm 335kw at the flywheel would be 260-270 rwkw. Not the other way around?

  • i wanna see wat a standard f6 makes then since they do same 1/4 mile. Also the gt doesnt weigh 2000kgs it weighs 1800kgs

  • People need to realise that you cant take a dyno figure seriously, there are so many different factors that can change the result of a dyno run its rediculous. On that dyno, on that day, with those ambiant temps, with those tyre pressures, with the straps being that tight the figures are probably right.

On a different note, I love this car, its just pure sex.

  • i honestly think the 335kw at the flywheel is complete rubbish, without the supercharger these things where supposably making 315kw, so to only add 20kw??????

  • @traviswt87 MY BALLS R SHAVED WANNA C THEM?

  • @the124Lscania

    What?
