It might not look like much but this new Yaris has the makings of a useful super mini, offering good levels of luxury equipment and lots of room inside. For us though, none of that will matter if the Yaris isn't good to drive. In this video Graham takes the 1.3 litre version out for a spin to find out if it can be fun as well sensible.

I love super minis, they are the most fun to drive. With that said I would never buy one, because I don't want to die in 30 mph crash. :)

@den525 By no means am I bashing on the qualities of the car - it has a great price-to-qualities ratio. I only expressed a sub-jective personal opinion. Just put next to a current version Fiesta, the Yaris looks a bit "grown up". A car targeted mainly at young people should not, IMHO.

I can't wait for the Yaris Hybrid (or "HSD")

That could be my next car, the gasolines are to slow, and I don't drive enough for the Diesel, the hybrid COULD be perfect. And my 06 Yaris 1.3 get's a new owner :)

The 1.5L VVTI engine stall all the time in Summertime driving. It is terrible.

Gadgets - nice. But the same time and effort to make this design of the car can be invested in a better one, and that's where this car fails miserably. Good car, but not particularly good to look at.
