  • Use it just enough to satisfy myself, eww first masturbation in space.

  • @alioscha10 You couldn't reproduce that environment in a swimming pool the only place you will see that is on location 200 miles up above your head

  • @brybry26 USSR first man on moon: Pending...

  • @chuckmaddox3 i think he was referring to the fact that he had to go back inside as being the saddest moment in his life.

  • man that sure needed guts to just jump out like that over earth.. the quality of the vid is way better than the soviet one, but both were fearless men, no doubt.. had to trust their lines a hell of a lot for letting go at risk of being lost floating in space

Is there a longer vid around here more "cinematic" and longer if u know what I mean? of other space walks, whatever, I just love to see man flying over in space with big blue earth underneath.. great vision

  • First, you are right. It doesn't conform because you gave an explanation to something I didn't even ask. Nothing cynical about my question, but I do appreciate you trying to answer. I was talking about stars in general from the space station or shuttle. Perhaps a few pics from the dark side of the earth or from the space station. I mean Collins didn't think while orbiting, "I should take some pics of the stars when I go around the dark side? Any photography student could tell me what you did...

  • I watched the moon landings and can tell you that 'everyone' wasn't interested in seeing the stars, everyone wanted to see the astronauts on the lunar surface. It wasn't an Apollo mission objective as the stars would appear in the same positions as they do from Earth, so seeing them from the moon offers no advantage and is difficult 'cos of the brightness of the moon's surface. You are paranoid as you won't be satisfied with this answer 'cos it doesn't conform with your cynical agenda.

  • Your argument to the "paranoids" works great until this question.

Why can they not adjust the camera to film stars. I can do it with a $150 camcorder from the ground and I live in the middle of a city, but these trained pros can't adjust the aperature on the camera just ONCE to show people the stars? Don't they ever go on the dark side of the earth? Don't they know how to work a camera to show everyone what they want to see....STARS? Anyway would love to hear why.

    Peace

  • Does anyone know why at around 1:23 that the earth in the background is Convex in shape, then as the camera is turned it becomes concave. Seems to me a fish eye lens would not turn the shape convex. I mean I know the obvious answer, but why didn't they do a better job at seeing that stuff? What's funny is even Kennedy didn't want to waist money on space, he only did it for the show of power, but is quoted saying "Why 7 billion for space and only 7 million for water desalinization?"...

  • While it doesn't diminish the loss for the families of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee from their deaths from the Apollo I fire, it's perhaps most tragic for Chaffee, who never got the chance to fly in space
