PHP Music System

Just a pet project of mine, planning to eventually replace my needs for an application-based audio player. Currently using DewPlayer for playing MP3s, but I want to replace that soon. Using jQuery and AJAX to make it so there are no disruptions in the page. All the info is saved in a SQLite DB, all the information is from the MP3s only! Also I can search. This thing is still in progress, I can search, and click random, but I don't have the 4 pages of planning implemented for browsing and stuff

Sounds very good! I don't use iTunes, so I don't have that resource pre-made for me.

So you just have it read the ID3 from each file and drop it into a database then?

With iTunes, it makes an XML file that has all the information about each song in the library, so I figure I could either parse that in real-time or generate a DB from it.

I think so to. I didn't parse any DB, I generated it myself. However it currently only supports what is already in its own directory(though it may have as many folders as needed to keep things orderly)

Looks good! I might end up coding something like this to parse my iTunes database so I can access my full music library when I'm away from home.
