  • I tried editing POV.HD and Contour+ footage in FCPX and the audio (from both) have a strange pulsating (off/on) disturbances. My machines are well specified so i know its not them. I think this is probably the same with ALL these sports Cams that use AAC? I think its a possible FCPX problem?!

  • @Jay1967 Hi Jay, I reckon FCPX doesn't have any problem with strange pulsating. Wich kind of cam do you use' GoPro as well ? Anyway, did you upload your edit on youtube ? if yes, give us the link !

  • good job duuuude and nice surf

  • @york73jp cheers mate :) have a good one

  • Dude i like it! Epic surfing, nice music, sick edit man! Tip: more slo mo would be siiick. I film in r3 cos the quality is good and i get all the smooth slo motion ;)

  • @MrHellYeahFilms Thanks for your comment ! you're right, i ll use smoth slow motion in the next one, but i really love r5 cos at first, you got a smaller angle and secondly, you're able to enable HD 1080 on youtube... anyway, cheers for your feedback !!

  • nice video, where was it filmed?

  • @charlesparret Just to give you an update.. It appears the audio issue is with all these sportscams and FCPX. My supplier reports FCPX users are experiencing the same issues. However there is an easy and free fix: ClipStream is a FREE download and can be used to convert the footage to ProRes and the audio to PCM which solves the problem completely. Regardless, StreamClip is a very handy piece of software for any editor. Thanks for your video.
