To raise money for the Roadracing World Action Fund, AMA Pro Superbike racer Chris Ulrich gave 2-Up ridealongs for $50 donations just after Thanksgiving on Nov. 27-28, 2010. Since I will never own a motorcycle (though if I had Wolverine's abiblities I definitely would!) this was a chance in a lifetime for me. I've driven Auto Club Speedway before with the Roval configuration in a car, but doing it on a motorcycle is a whole other level of crazy, and being able to see it and feel it with Chris Ulrich was INSANITY. It took everything I could muster to hold on to the specially prepped M4 Energy Suzuki GSX-R1000, and I doubt I would be able to last longer than the 3-laps offered!
Thank you so much to Chris Ulrich, Roadracing World, and the origanizers Fastrack Riders! This was very much a change in a lifetime for me, and I'll never forget it! And thanks to Jon for telling me about this and hanging out!!!
@rickmonster636 you have a brave girl man! hope you got a chance to do it yourself!--i don't ride motorcycles, but i'm sure being 2-up is a totally different experience than riding yourself.

@Boricua670 I think he adjusts his speed according to his "ballast" ha ha, maybe based on how balanced or relaxed the passenger is. They told me last year he ran a 1:33 2-up. Later in the day they were going to pick one rider to try for a record, but I had to go before the attempt. Just FYI, I'm 5'11", ~192lbs.
