hey I am Catholic, but my Orthodox friend gave me his prayer rope and I always keep it around my hand. He told me keep praying it until you say it with every heart beat! UNTIL WE ARE UNITED AGAIN, AMEN!

You are right...denominations make no sense. However denominations were made when the protestant churches split from the Catholic church who split from the Orthodox church which was established by Christ and the apostles. The apostles spread out sharing the news of Christ and the church and established the churches which is the Orthodox Church (Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.)

@Rclie412 A monk in the desert who wanted to keep track of his Jesus Prayers so began by lining pebbles but the devil would cause wind and blow the pebbles out of order. The monk then tried tying knots in a leather rope but the devil came to distract him again and untied the knots. Finally, the monk used wool (because we are the sheep) and he tied the knots into the wool in such a way that the devil could not untie them; by making seven crosses in each knot which caused the devil to flee.

Christians should not be divided into denominations. The bible says that if you are in a denomination, you are not walking for Jesus. As a matter of fact, the very word "denomination" is NOT listed one time in the entire bible.
