Like McLuhan and Chomsky, I think these eloquent citizens do realize that the current structure of corporate media sacrifices depth in favour of sensationalist "fill" in order to keep the "content" (i.e. advertisements) coming.
This video embodies the fact that it doesn't "have to be" this way.
I don't think good media is "missing" so much as it is "marginalized." It's out there; the problem is in having the effort and/or resources to find it.

I think everyone had good points, but they don't realize that in demanding up-to-date, breaking news, depth often has to be sacrificed by our pressured journalists.
Although there are media who do a great job with that sort of thing.
