Wish I got to take Les Miserables in highschool. I got to see it when I was about 9-10, and listened to the original broadway recording all the way through highschool anyways.

*scoff* Oh, please. Go find someone better and come back to us.
...We won't be seeing THEM anytime soon :)

Oh come on, in theatrical life he was well known.
And how couldn't you mention the Brides of Christ where our best 'Javert' was driving a motorcycle, teaching economics and almost seduced a nan=)
Extremely gifted man.

Philip is the BEST JAVERT FOREVER!!!!! All his musicals are outstanding! This man is absolutely gifted professional and lovely person. That's the fact. No arguing.

My God...how can you actually believe that Quast is anything but the definitive Javert? His voice is so colorful...I've never seen a singer more able to put ruthlessness into his voice. Bravo Quast. Vergogna Scrubsfan.

Did you also know he grew up on a turkey farm?

I saw this 5 times in LA. Now I am a teacher in Idaho and it is required viewing/reading by all of my high school students. Amazing musical!

Timing? do you know the meaning of that word?
Philip Quast = God.

In my opinion Phillip Quast is the epitome of perfect musical theatre - he is the pefectly balanced actor/singer, he always tells a story and moves you with his voice. The best night of my life was sitting front row in the tiny Donmar theatre in central London where he performed an audience with Philip Quast, giving a background to his life and singing seleted songs. He is pure talent and an inspiration to us all.
