  • I wish that I could have not only been there, but knew then what I know now, so that Mary wouldn't have to feel so alone. I mean, I am a teenager, and to think of being pregnant, and having everyone turn against you...She was a brave young woman. And Joseph, he was a good man.

  • i wish i could have been there.

  • This is the most real, most moving song I have ever heard at Christmas.

Thank you for putting it up.

  • My dad and Andrew were best friends in high school! We visit him and his family all the time! It's great to see he's so successful!

  • Joseph hid her away....

  • Joseph hid her away....

  • I loved this song. What a great job.

Yes it is clearer, but I think it lacks intelligence.

Because you would have been married to some slob or maybe a decent man by this age.

Everyone turned against her because obviously in their eyes she had cheated. Joseph himself at one point said I am not raising my own child. But was convinced by his foolishness and let God persuade him.

  • @TheOink Excuse me? I'm not mixing our cultures. I said nothing about being married to an older man. I am talking about Mary knowing that she is pregnant with the son of God and being hated on for being pregnant out of wedlock (though Mary and Joseph were considered husband and wife, there were at the "betrothed" stage of marriage and were not permitted physical intimacy yet) I'm talking about how awesome it would be to see baby Jesus, to spend time with Mary and Joseph. Is that clearer?

  • @krisseskisses

Don't mix or modern culture to that time long ago.

It was normal for a girl to be 16 and married to an elderly man at that time.

  • this is a beautiful song, but i'm not sure how accurate it is. back then, stables were usually in the house and at night the animals would be brought in to sleep. this is probably where mary and joseph stayed. also, this culture prided itself in its hospitality and mary was probably surrounded my midwives who knew what they were doing. even if you think about it, the town was filled with people and realistically, there would've been midwives there.
