Call of Duty 4 - Death From Above Gameplay

Alright, there are two reasons I have uploaded this video;

1)
This is another video for "Stuff in games I think is cool" and I've actually had this one sitting around for a while. Death from Above has you taking control of an AC-130 gunship Thermal Television operator, providing cover fire for the guys you were playing as just last mission and making sure they get to an extraction point alive. It's a refreshing change of pace. While this level is pretty much piss-easy as long as you shoot in the general direction of the dudes shooting at YOUR dudes, and you do not shoot in the general direction of your dudes, then your dudes will make it through and it'll be an easy win for you. Christ, I overused the word 'dudes' there.

That said, there are some complaints with this section; it can be very difficult to see what you're shooting at or where the enemies are at times due to the intentional blurring of the screen and somewhat unclear graphics (Yes, that isn't just the video!). All in all, though, this level is pretty damn nice.

A little trivia;
This is the only stage in Call of Duty 4 where you hear your character talk. And it's not just another perspective either, you are actually playing him. If you pay attention to the subtitles, you can figure out which voice is the one belonging to the guy you're playing.

2)
Alright, the second reason I uploaded this; It's acting as a final test for the new encoding method to reduce the filesize I'm using with a DivX codec.

Origonal video (WMV): 427MB
Encoded video (DivX): 144MB

From 427MB to 144MB with hopefully very little loss in video and audio quality. Not bad.

This would have been fun: "Do not engage, I'm actually in this vehicle, do not engage the vehicle where I'm sitting. I repeat..."
