As the only region currently showing growth in tourism across the globe, African leaders are now looking to get beyond the stereotypical view that the continent is just about safaris. Walter Mzembi, minister of tourism for Zimbabwe discusses.
Leaders were speaking at the United Nations World Tourism Organizations (UNWTO) 18th General Assembly in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Tourism ministers and representatives from 142 countries met in Astana to encourage people to travel again, over 700 delegates attended the event and up to 1,300 people were in attendance at the opening ceremony.
