Since yesterdays video eBay removed all but three of these scam cars.

This morning on eBay's Motors Discussion Board there is one post by someone that claims they were robbed.
http://forums.ebay.com/db1/topic/Ebay-Motors/I-Was-Robbed/510168168
And another that was looking for his case number on eBay hopefully before he sent payment.

Like i said yesterday, these scammers are now maintaining a very low profile trying to make their scam listings look legitamate!

It's very important to look at the bid history on eBay auctions to see if the scammer is canceling bids. Canceling bids is one way the scammer keeps the current bid price down hoping a victim will contact them for more photos etc. Once you contact them they will start the scam process and reel the victim in.

Scammers fake eBay Motors VPP emails look so good even an educated eBay buyer would think they came from eBay!

If you see a car your interested in on eBay motors, post a message on the EBMDG including the item number and ask for advice. I will post the link below.

  • Yes, it's absolutely hysterical! They have a slow, bloated site built upon outdated IT. But they are much too arrogant to correct anything. Instead they are only changing superficially. Nothing from a safety standpoint has been improved. Only worsened due to layoffs, new policies, community apathy caused by ebay indifference/negligence.

They are to chasing everyone but suckers & scammers off the site & then will dump it imo.

What other explanation could there ?

  • Yes i agree.. The site is still so sloppily secured it's a total joke!

The scammers are still scamming, but as this video shows they are maintaining a low profile.

Newbies to eBay are easy prey to these slick Romanian con artists who scam them left and right.

Donahoe is not concerned the slightest bit.

But one thing is for sure, if those were my customers that were getting fleeced it would be out right war on scammers trying to screw my customers!

  • @ebaymotorssucks thank you. i was just wondering, what gave you the motivation to make a web blog and post these series? were you also scammed or you knew someone?

  • I was a vehicle seller on eBay, started back in 1999. I used to say that eBay brought honor to the car business back in those early days.

I watched as scammers started hijacking good eBay members accounts and using them to defraud eBay buyers out of their money.

Meg Whitman kept bragging about the magic of eBay, and claiming eBay was not hacked, as Vladuz and his associates pillaged the community.

I decided to start a website to warn warn eBay Members about the fraud.. :)

  • Scammers?

Now now... ebaY believes people are basically good. That's why the warning posts get deleted and those whom post them get NARUd then stalked and harrased accross the web and over the years.

Those are listings are eb's "Business Partners". Valued community members. Pioneers, bilked, err I mean built and sustained by trust... blah blah blah

    roflmao!

But wait, there's more! ebaY has apparently now done away with dedicated employees to pull the fraud listings.

  • I think im dealing with one now.... but they post the ad on autotrader first... i contacted them to see when i can take a look at it.. but apparently they have moved to england... im just waiting for them to send me all that fake info...

  • ....Ebay is full of scammers thats why i dont use that site...

  • Donahoe could care less who gets screwed on his website.

Watch him spin PayPig off on an IPO and leave the eBay bag holders with a stinking sack of garbage to deal with!

  • I wonder how many real coders could be hired with just the bonus salary of Mr Donahoe?

If he had any noble intentions he would forgo that big fat bonus and put the funds into that 1990s (read: LAST millennium) era blivet to bring it up to date. Even if it meant actually closing down the site completely while they brought it up to speed.

  • eBay is desperate.. Donahoe needs to trim the fat off of his piggy and is laying off the help.

Not only is he so cheap that he refuses to update his site with secure case sensitive passwords, and password strength indicators, he needs all the listing fees he can get to keep this bloated pig alive on wall street.

    HoHoHo.. From John Donahoe! LOL!
