The Wiz was created as an African American-inlfuenced, hipper version of The Wizard of Oz. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with other types of people playing the roles or putting on productions of it. My issue is, if this director wanted it to look like The Wizard of Oz, why didn't he just use that tired old script instead of bastardizing The Wiz. Why not try to give them a look to match THIS script? What a lack of imagination!

that'll happen once the DVD "gets released" as in they change the format of the recording from the little cassette tape its on to dvds, they dont have the hardware to do that yet.
