not to take anything away from windham but if he would have wanted this bad every year of his career he would have won alot more races and maybe some championships. he was always one of my favorite riders but it seemed like he only pushed it if he thought he had a chance of winnig the race. I can hardly remember him ever crashing.

I ran across Art Eckman (now coaching football) and had the privledge to chat with him. I let him know how much we moto fans miss him. He has a love for the sport. Says he still keeps up and watches the racing. I teased him about flubbing his remarks at times and he laughed it off and said he was such a fan he would get caught up in the racing and just blurt things out then be embarassed at his remarks. He's a true gentleman and good guy. He should be inducted into the AMA hall of fame.
