  • That was an Amazing tribute...over whelming.

  • I was in Afghanistan in 2007, and it was my job to organize the ramp ceremonies for 22 of these heroes. I had a hard time afterward with this, and the Highway of Heroes makes it easier to deal with. When I see the overwhelming support from everyday Canadians for our fallen comrades, it makes it feel like their death wasn't in vain and that they are appreciated. It helps provide closure. THANK YOU to everyone who comes out to it.

  • @cubsplayre I know that first hand, I have been here for ten years, since I was 17 and I felt at home the moment I stepped into Canadian soil. I guess that was just what I was feeling at the time, I was emotional because I truly believe in what Canada stands for, I really do. Cheers.

  • @ib983 nice to here you like canada so much. Hey man you don't need say your muslim no one cares if your muslim, a jew, or Catholic as long as you can be a good person, and your proud of who you are you can make it just about anywhere in canada (:

  • @wikkedwickyonblogtv Hi I am a retired vet from Canada's reg forces. I stood with 135 other boys on our first day in boot camp. 13 weeks later only 93 of us graduated to go on to our assigned units. It isn't easy and you really have to want it bad enough. But the pride you feel when done is like no other. I was a combat soldier. When going into my first combat area with the U.N. peace keeping forces. Our RSM said to us " A ship in harbour is safe but thats not what ships were built for".
