A foggy morning was not going to keep me off the water. As soon as I was out of the marina, three dolphin started to bow ride my boat. reaching for my camera and did what I could driving my boat and filming the animals :-)

After the day was done, I saw a mating pair of otters that live in the Monterey municiple marina. The male is a tagged southern sea otter. He often can be found sleeping on the dock. The female is also tagged. Her nose scars are hard to look at but quite a common occurance during mating. the two have been seen together for a couple days now.

  • @Laylo9 Nose is damaged because of she was recently mated.

Males are pretty violent toward females during mating.

They bite on the nose a lot.

  • Boat motors should be turned off within 50 metres of any dolphin site. Too many get chewed up in the propellers.

  • Yes what is the music?

  • What is the name of the song here? :) Beautiful animals...

  • great video! you're right, her nose is very hard to look at. It is a common occurance, but thats one of the worst cases I've ever seen! it looks like her whole nose got torn off!!
