  • The title should be "How to use CLIPLESS Pedals"

  • pretty sure they are clipless pedals, not clip pedals.

  • Can someone please tell what are clip pedals are then?

  • @MultiRoboninja My first set of clips I loathed, T-junction on a hill crest...splat! much to the amusement of everyone around. Over time I got used to them, but it becomes easier over time as you gain the feeling of clipping in and out. Accidents still happen though, and you get caught out in an emergency stop or when something goes wrong, but in normal use you find you think ahead and unclip before a junction or something. A lot depends on the feel of the different types of pedals though.

  • Ive always been scared of what might happen if you fall wearing clip pedals...how are you able to catch yourself properly?!

  • @bangcock502 No, they are not. Clearly you are the one who understands little about the mechanics and history behind them.

  • @bangcock502 They are not clip pedals, clip pedals are pedals with straps and clips which were used up until the 1990's. These are clipless pedals, yes they have a clipping facility with cleat inserts, but they were designed to provide the same benefits without the straps.

To call these clip pedals would be incorrect, despite the literal definition maybe saying otherwise.

  • I want the Details of that bike, please help!! Model, year, color scheme, etc!!!

  • They are clip pedals. If you actually understood the mechanics and the history behind the behind the shoe and name you would know that.

  • Nice video :)

  • @lebronjameswanab He probably shaves because he doesn't want to deal with hair in his road rash if he crashes.

  • @Nismo12121 It's common but I'm sure this vid has saved many bikes and legs from being bruised since it actually talks about getting some momentum before clipping in the second foot, I've heard so many stories of people going clip, clip, FALL. Though i kind of agree with you.
