Annie looks beautiful in her soft red wispy hair and the red ballgown that would be reused for the cello sequence in the Sweet Dreams video. She described her In the Garden look as Germanic which makes sense since (hmmm two homonyms....) they recorded it in Cologne Germany!

Lov it

Its funny how "In the Garden" wasnt really released here until after "Sweet Dreams" became a huge hit. So those of us in The US were unaware of it
-
The guys from Can and beautiful Annie, wow!
-
@bluestate69 It's meant to be his mother, nagging "you better not mess with major tom" xD
-
Wow, I didn't know there was a video for this either!
I love the album (In The Garden), really reminds me of Ladytron.
The album still sounds fresh.
Thanks for uploading this!

'I shed more tears for you than the ocean'

annie is so beautiful

@zulucase yes, exactly what i thought! though nothing can compare to bowie's stoic solemn clown walking down the beach as an old woman pleads with him.

It would've been interesting if the boys from CAN had done more with them, I love the feel of this. Annie's voice is softer and i prefer it.

Música é como um bálsamo nos momentos ruins!
Mas chega atá a ajudar a gente a manter o moral alto nos bons momentos!

i just love annies short reddish hair i got her hair cut
-
Annie just kicks ass.

this reminds me alot of a scene in the Derrick Jarman film"jubilee",and also in the vid to" sweet dreams" where Annie turns the globe with her orange cropped hair is very like a scene from "Jubilee" also involving Toyah.

I just can't find a place to be near you...

A well crafted video, well ahead of its time - and I mean, not just for the 1981 standard. Some of the water snapshots were later used in their "Sweet Dreams" live from Heaven video (during "Jennifer" intro). It is criminal this video never got onto a proper official video compilation of theirs, whether VHS or especially the DVD. Well, this eventual error can always be corrected.

@zulucase He's on David Bowie's personal flute ;) ;)

MY FAVORITE!!!

Weird, fantastic video.

@12burtonboy "I'm never gonna cry again" is just another way of saying, "I'm gonna kill myself." I think that the lyrics are based on a suicide note that a woman left for her past boyfriend to see. She says that she's never gonna cry again (as in, committing suicide), then she says that she didn't want to bother him by telling him in person, then she concludes that she can't stand to be around him.

I LIKE THE MUSIC, BUT DE VÍDEO.......
Wow. I never knew they made a video for this underrated gem. Thanks.

It reminds me a bit of Bowies Ashes to Ashes video. Who´s on flute? Rowan Atkinson?
