Let's Play: Doom 2 (Map23) - Barrels o' Fun

A playthrough of "Barrels o' Fun" (Map23) of Doom II: Hell on Earth for PC, played through GLBoom. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill).

Exactly what is going on. Barrels of Fun. Everywhere. They explode and hurt and kill stuff that gets exploded in their explodey goodness. Did I mention the barrels all explode?

Seriously, this map is just fun for the fact it's a sweet gimmick of sorts. Proof that anything can die when you put it next to enough barrels that go boom!

The only part of this map I really don't like is the Pain Elementals. Obviously. Because those things are just annoying. Outside of that, it can seem overwhelming with the sheer number of enemies that can come at you at points, especially with all the Demons in the hallway right before the first Arch-Vile of the map. The Spider Mastermind proves his lethality, but also shows he can die just like anything else, all in one massive war. Fun times to be had here for sure, if you can survive the massive amount of Demons and awful Pain Elemental placement.

@AafTersheiV They will do that every single time. Quite possibly the absolute WORST placed Pain Elementals in all of Doom 2. Wide open and they can roam around and spit Lost Souls to their hearts content...

Pain Elementals are fucking annoying. I couldn't even pass this map because of all of them. I even had to start over from map 16.

I've actually been able to survive the beginning part with the Mancubus and all the barrels without making it to the end. I took a ton of damage though, but it is surviveable.

@TARINunit9 Sadly, I think those videos are gone. Either that, or they went private. Can't find 'em for anything, though I have searched. Supposedly he said he'd be reposting them, but as of my check a few days ago, that still hasn't happened.
