@CrazyEmiliano It's a combination of two words - which are taken from latin. The first word "odi" means hatred and the second "um" means disgust.
From a thematic standpoint this name fits pretty well imo. And yes I played the US version xD

@CrazyEmiliano well thanks for the info, i love the game, too bad i cant play it now on windows xp or win 7 in graphic mode, i can only play it in software mode :// and the soundtrack is very good, i've made some rap remixes but i wont put it online..

@Shtekenzi There were 2 titles: Gorky 17 (the original title) and "Odium" (the US version). I've played the original, Polish version (This game has been made by Poles). The only difference is the title (and of course the language)
And one more thing: I gotta confess, that I didn't know that "odium" is actually a word in English, so I were curious why did they called this game "Odium" :]
