  • @flyhead2 True. The fact that we still have troops in Japan, Germany, The Phillipines, South Korea, the list goes on and on, makes me sick. Our 2-Party Monarchy won't rest until there's a damn base in every nation. Our "government" used to criticise the Soviet Union for occupying nations.

  • It is a good thing for US to sell weapon to our neighbors. Just think about it this way: the US will never sell their top level weapons to these countries in order to keep the US technological superiority these countries will not be able to afford equipping themselves to the point of having the capability to overcome us. We have the money and Men-power to catch up with the US in term of military technological power. While US policy keeps Japan dependent upon the US for security.

  • Finally, some English speaking white people would speak the truth about Chinese attitude towards Taiwan. The truth is that we dont give a fuck about Taiwan, we yell all day about taking back Taiwan, but that's bullshit, the yelling is only so that American presence would not be in Taiwan, and seperatist groups for Tibet and ET dont get the idea that we can tolerate their seperation.

  • The bad news is that India, Japan, Korea and S E Asia are becoming more and more dependent upon China. Asian countries needs China, their concern is a mainly a self-centered Chinese government that is unpredictable. But China is openning up as fast as one could imagine, that means in a decade or 2, Asian governments and elites would form an inter-balancing network that would in a sense unit the Area if not as tightly as NATO.

  • American strategy only works on smaller countries like Taiwan, and some S E Asian countries. India will not want to be second in the world as well, as well as Japan. The good thing with China is that it is not just a huge export but also a huge and fastest growing market, that means both Japan and India could use China to become independent of the West. Asian countries are not stupid. You will be surprised to find that Asian Power are not entirely upset about the growth of China at all.

  • The biggest misconception in the media is that Yankees thinks that WW2, Korean War, the Chinese Civil War, Sino-Vietnam War would cause China and its neighbors to maintain a deep bedded and long lasting antagonism. The truth is other wise. The only real problem with China and its neighbors are the energy shortage, China cant get middle eastern oil for low price, so every drop of Asian oil is fought over. But that's gonna Change in 10 years, the continental railway system will change everything.

  • @overseachininadoll I doubt it. Vietnamese, Taiwanese, and japan going to war against china???? You assume those countries like us enough to attack their neighbor? Have you heard of Asean? Iran and north korea wont be touched because China would come to their aid. What Israel is to the USA, is what Iran and North Korea is to the Chinese. Funny things happen when big countries go to war...People switch sides out of convenience.

  • US arm sells is not limited to Taiwan. US will sell arms to Australia, India, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and other Asian countries only if they have the money to buy. America got rich from war and arm sells. They will do that to get of debt too. Getting the the Asians to fight with the Chinese is the best bet.

  • US will not fight conventional war with China of course because China has lots of people. But US can get the Indians, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Japanese, and other neighboring countries of China as well as the use drones and robotic army to fight the war. The americans just stay far away with the remote control.

  • Obama already pointed out in the open. The US will not want to be in the 2nd place of the world. The US will stay in the 1st place. So who's the threat to the US's #1 status in the world? All fingers pointed to China's direction. North Korea and Iran are no threat to the US.

  • this guy says that america wouldnt go to war with china because you dont go to war with your banker?

but isnt that what germany did? after world war 1 they were saddled with huge debt for the war to england. and 20 years later they went to war with england.

on the other hand some people think world war 1 made germany a financial proxy of england so later during world war 2 when germany consolidated europe and attacked russia it was on the english bankers' behalf.
