that is not an LED thats a lightbulb, and a potentiometer is supposed to adjust the current, not turn it on/off. yes current, not fucking electricity, electricity dosnt chang, the amps(current), voltage and continuity, if you don't know what continuity is, you shouldn't be using electronics

first you did not talk about the first terminal wich is ground and secound you cant use leds with potentiometers but overall you explained the main circuit
