yea dude, really, its a great car, its damn cheap, and a hell lot of fun. im not racer but i took mine out to a track with my dad and we took it to like 150. it was great

Drive a CVT with paddle shifters and it's completely different... I like a nice H box manual but even the Veyron has magnesium paddle shifters. I have something the Veyron has! haha xD

CVT has room for improvement in its design, and perhaps a little more focus on either performance or economy in the programming of it would help. but ultimately, the theory is solid: keep the engine at it's peak horsepower (not peak torque) under throttle. the fun is taken away tho by the fact that there is no change in acceleration (or "jerk", the third order differential of displacement), so it feels slower. often, the acceleration (2nd order d2y/dx2) is at least on par with the engine size

@SPTSuperSprinter156 Actually it isn't made for performance at all. Instead of having 5 or 6 direct gears, view it as "multiple" gears in between. The CVT is built for economy. (I know your post was from a long time ago)
