GSB pulls no punches when it comes to it's name. The game is exactly what it says: lots and lots of space battles. My main gripe with the game is that the ships just kind of face off and slowly march towards each other. It would be nice if they moved around a bit faster and you could pull off tactical manouvers.

@Version2PointZero ; You are damn right: some of the ships should move faster. I suppose once computers become even faster, and when video memory can keep up, we will see such games. I would like to see a GSB combat just among fighters.

@Desertphile I might be the fifth person to say this, but there are already games with large space battles and tactical maneuvers. Star wars Empire at War is a great one, then there's Sins of a Solar Empire, and there's Homeworld, which was an early one.
